Schaaf, Melissa
Melissa Schaaf is a Certified Instructor with the American Heart Association. She is a faculty member of LawsonTEC, the largest independent training facility for American Heart Association Instructors in Northern Virginia. She also works with Cardiac Science, one of the largest manufacturers of AEDs. Melissa estimates that she has instructed more than 4000 people on life-saving skills. She regularly teaches at Fairfax County Schools, Apple Federal Credit Union, General Dynamics, Inova Well/Fairfax Hospital, various medical practices and private schools. Melissa has a Master of Science degree from American University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Central Florida. She was inspired to teach in 2012 for the American Heart Association after her own health scare.
