Donnelly, Catie

Catie Donnelly is licensed to practice law in the State of Virginia and was admitted to the United States District Court for the eastern district of Virginia. She has been an Associate Attorney at Mitchell Banks, PC in Chantilly, VA since 2016. Catie assisted the United States Court of Appeals in oral arguments during a prestigious internship with The United States Department of Justice. She is also a published contributor of notes and research to scientific journals on social justice and civil rights.

While earning her Juris Doctorate at Washington and Lee School of Law in Lexington, VA, Catie served as head coach for the university’s undergraduate mock trial team. Under her leadership, the team reached the finals in the International Mock Trial and Contract Negotiations competition. She has held several leadership positions, including Competition Chair, in the Virginia Law-Related Education Institute’s statewide Mock Trial program program. Since 2023, she has been a head coach for the Compass mock trial team which has placed in the top 3 in several state-wide competitions. In addition to her JD, Catie earned her Bachelors Degree in English from Furman University in Greenville, SC.
