NoVA 4-H Nature Club
The NoVA 4-H Nature Club holds its monthly club meetings at Compass. In addition to club meetings and virtual topic presentations, monthly hikes and nature outings are scheduled around the region, and occassional service projects are planned. At meetings, members hear an overview of the monthly theme such as ecosystem, birds & mirgration, weather, plants, etc. Members listen to guest speakers, give presentations, learn about contests and fair opportunities, and plan parties and service projects. The club offers youth leadership opportunities for elected student-officers. The group is coordinated by a Compass parent who is also a Virginia Master Naturalist.
