If You Can’t Stand the Heat, Get in the Kitchen!
Summer Cooking Workshops at Compass
Food is a fun part of summer vacation! Create lasting memories with summer celebrations like barbeques, picnics, and potlucks. Cool off with refreshing summer flavors like watermelon, peach, strawberry, and coconut. Kids can participate in these traditions while learning important life skills in Compass’s summer cooking workshops. Workshops meet just 1, 2, or 3 days, and all are half-day (3 hours) so you can schedule around your other camps and vacations. Review the Summer Workshop Schedule to find the delicious menus, dates, times, and details for workshops such as:
- Food Truck Favorites
- Kitchen Ninja Knife Skills
- Snack Attack
- Summer Luau
- Summer Sweets Splurge
- Teddy Bear Tea
- The Great Backyard Barbeque
- Road Trip- Regional Recipe Revue (Northeast, South, New Orleans)
- Road Trip- Regional Recipe Revue (Northwest, Southwest, Midwest)
All classes are taught in person at Compass’s Herndon teaching kitchen by Chef Mimi Nyman. Compass and non-Compass students are welcome. Read more about Compass cooking classes online.
