Band Instrument Test Drive Event, February 21
Have you touched a trombone, held a horn, clicked a clarinet, or struck a snare? Try these instruments and others at a special Instrument Test Drive at Compass on Wednesday, February 21!
Band is often cited as an school experience that parents worry that their homeschooled kids will miss out on. Compass is ramping up to offer an homeschool concert band in 2024-25, and this Test Drive event introduces students to the choices of band instruments.
Representatives from the Music & Arts store will have test instruments set up in Suite D near the main desk from 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm. Students will have an opportunity to handle and blow different instruments. The new Compass band director, Jessica Eastridge, will be on hand to answer questions about the spring band clinics, summer band camp, and homeschool band plans. This is a drop-in event.
The Instrument Test Drive is open to all homeschoolers, whether or not they take classes at Compass yet. For those considering the 2024-25 homeschool band, Compass is offering three, 8-week spring clinics to introduce students in 4th-8th grades to their new instruments. Register through the links below.
