Invited: Band Instrument “Test Drive” February 6
Have you touched a trombone, held a horn, clicked a clarinet, or struck a snare? Try these instruments and others at a special Instrument Test Drive at Compass on Thursday, February 6 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm!
Band is a traditional school experience that many homeschool parents worry their children will miss out on. Not anymore! Compass is hosting an 8-week “Band-Ready Spring Clinic” for its Homeschool Concert Band program, and this Test Drive event introduces students to the choices of band instruments.
Representatives from the Music & Arts store will set up instruments in Suite D near the main entrance (520 Herndon Parkway, Suite D). Students will have an opportunity to handle and blow different instruments. The Compass band director, Jessica Eastridge, will be on hand to answer questions about the Homeschool Concert Band, spring band clinic, summer band camp, Children’s Beginner Band, and private lessons.
The Instrument Test Drive is open to all homeschoolers, whether or not they take classes at Compass yet. Interested students are asked to RSVP so we have enough instruments!
