Pete Van Riper is a professional artist and art instructor. He has served as an Instructor of Art in drawing and design at Northern Virginia Community College since 2001. Pete is a member of the Capitol Hill Arts League and served on the board of directors at Art Enables, a gallery serving artists with disabilities, and worked with Art-O-Matic, a local arts community. He has also earned several awards for his work and exhibited at dozens of local and regional exhibitions over the last two decades. Pete earned a Master of Fine Arts Degree from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Pete is also an avid cyclist and lives in Hyattsville, MD.
