Osk Huneycutt iis the owner and director of The Science Place. After working for many years at The Science Place as Head of Operations and lead director, she aquired ownership in 2024. She has taught innovative, hands-on science courses at several homeschool co-ops and enrichment programs across Northern Virginia, as well as The Sheridan School in Washington DC since 2014. She is a Charlotte Mason- trained teacher and has experience implementing several non-traditional teaching methods in a variety of settings. An avid nature-lover and adventurer who hails from wild and rugged Iceland, Osk is certified as a Wilderness First Responder, a Virginia Master Naturalist, and a guide for the Natural Leaders program. She led a weekly forest school playgroup for preschoolers. She homeschooled her adult daughter through high school and is currently homeschooling her son.
